New format for V.E.C. committee.

The Chief Executive of the Kerry Education Service says the new committee for the V.E.C. will be more representative than in previous years. The membership and range of the committee will change to take into account new legislation by the Government for the V.E.C. system. The committee will now have 23 members instead of 20.9 members will be appointed from within Kerry County Council. 2 members will come from each of the three town councils. 2 people will represent parents. 2 representatives of staff employed within the service will also be on the committee. 4 other persons from civil organisations from around the county will complete the 23 members. Dr. Barney O Reilly says everything will be in place in September or October.
