New development to be discussed at Town Council meeting

A proposal to build 120 social housing units in Ballyard in Tralee will be discussed by members of the Town Council tonight. Councillors have been under severe pressure from the residents of the area to drop the proposal since the proposal was outlined last October. The council has a housing list of almost 1,000 people and the executive is anxious to get this ambitious project underway to help alleviate the demand.The council has a 34 acre site in ballyard, 22 acres of which are to be used in this plan.
