An initiative which urges locals to report suspicious behaviour has been launched in Killarney.
The See Something, Say Something campaign was launched in Tralee last year, and it has now been rolled out to Killarney following its success.
Members of the public can immediately report a crime or any incident of anti-social behaviour by texting KILLARNEY, along with a brief account of the incident and the location to 50555.
The joint initiative between Killarney Chamber of Tourism and Commerce and An Garda Síochána is free and anonymous, and enables Gardaí to react quickly.
Killarney Garda Superintendent Flor Murphy says it is about public safety, making Killarney and its surrounds safer for residents and visitors.
