The National Parks and Wildlife Service is counting the financial impact of the recent large gorse fire.
Two weeks ago, a fire on Torc Mountain destroyed over 170 acres of forest and wildlife in Killarney National Park, causing extensive damage.
Regional Manager of the National Parks and Wildlife Service, Seamus Hassett says this type of environment is hard on infrastructure, like the sleepers on the Torc Mountain trail.
He says they’ll have to replace parts of the boardwalk.
