A ten-day residential film camp geared towards aspiring young filmmakers will receive its national launch at the Dingle Film Festival tomorrow.
The National Youth Film School, with funding from the Irish Film Board, are running the camp at St Jospeh’s studios in Kilkenny to train film makers from 16 to 19 years of age.
Screenwriters working with the film school in the past have included Will Collins (Song of the Sea), Ailbhe Keogan (Run & Jump) and Hugh O’Conor to name a few.
The ten-day film camp will be officially launched tomorrow at noon in St James Church in Dingle.
Killarney native and Outreach Coordinator Hugh O’Donoghue says they hope to see as many young people from Kerry attend.
