Mother of woman killed in domestic homicide calls for such cases to be reviewed

The mother of a woman who was killed in a domestic homicide says no lessons will be learned from such cases without full reviews being carried out.

In 2013, John Geary received four life sentences for the murder of his ex-partner Sarah Hines, their five-month-old daughter Amy, her three-year-old brother Reece and Alicia Brough at a house in Newcastle West in 2010.

Alicia’s mother Maria Dempsey says along with the Garda investigation into such crimes a domestic homicide review should also be conducted.
