Morning Sports Update


It’s the biggest day of Munster’s season so far as they prepare to take on the Saracens in their Heineken Champions Cup semi-final.

Keith Earls, who scored both tries in their quarter-final victory at Edinburgh, has been ruled out with a thigh injury.

The Sarries will welcome back their top scorer Owen Farrell who missed their quarter-final due to the birth of his child.

Kick-off at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry is at 3-0’clock this afternoon.


Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur meet again today.

This time it’s in the Premier League lunchtime game.

City would go back to the top of the table with a win, overnight at least, until Liverpool play tomorrow.

Tottenham meanwhile are third, just a point ahead of neighbours Arsenal.

Elsewhere, Bournemouth welcome already relegated Fulham to The Vitality. 10th placed Watford travel to Huddersfield, who will be playing in The Championship next season.

West Ham take on Leicester City at The London stadium while Wolves take on Brighton who desperately need 3 points in their fight against the drop. All of those games kick-off at 3 o’clock.

Then at half-past-5 Newcastle host Southampton at St James’ Park where victory for either side should be enough to secure them top flight football next season.


It’s semi-final day of the Lidl National Ladies Football Leagues today.

Galway take on Donegal for a spot in the Division one final.
