Minister says Government will be as helpful as it can to Shannon LNG

The Energy Minister says the Government will be as helpful as it can to the Shannon LNG project. Pat Rabbitte, Minister for Communications, Energy and natural Resources The company is hoping to build a 600 million euro liquefied natural gas plant on the Tarbert Ballylongford landbank and in turn create hundreds of jobs. However, last week Shannon LNG’s judicial review about proposed levies for gas interconnectors, it says it won’t use, was unsuccessful. Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources Pat Rabbitte says it is a complex issue and he is willing to meet Shannon LNG in the next week if that’s what they want.
