The Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport begins his first official visit to Kerry today.
Shane Ross will meet the Vintners’ Federation and the North Kerry Tourism Forum in the Horseshoe Bar in Listowel at 2pm.
After his meetings in Listowel, Minister for Transport, Tourism and Sport, Shane Ross will travel to Kerry GAA’s €9 million Centre of Excellence which is being built in Currans.
The Minister will then go to Kerry Airport for a 4pm appointment.
Tomorrow, he will travel the main Kerry-Cork N22 route with Fine Gael TD, Brendan Griffin.
Groups on both sides of the county bounds have called for work to start on a bypass from Ballyvourney to Macroom as soon as possible.
At present, work is due to begin in 2019; with preparatory work, including fencing, due to start shortly.
The Minister will also spend time at his department’s offices in New Road, Killarney.
