Minister promises speedy inspection of storm damage at Tralee school

The Minister for Education has promised to ensure a speedy inspection of a Tralee primary school which sustained damage during last week’s storm. ruairi quinn The roof blew off a prefab at Listellick national school on the outskirts of Tralee last Wednesday during high winds and pupils had to be evacuated. Management has been pursuing the provision of a new school for several years. Minister Ruairí Quinn said he spoke to the principal Annette Dineen on Friday and discussed what needs to be done. The minister agreed that that schools might need to look at closing when severe weather warnings are issued.
