Minister Griffin urged to keep up momentum on Tralee to Fenit Greenway project

The President of Tralee Chamber Alliance is calling on Kerry’s Junior Minister to keep up momentum on the Tralee to Fenit Greenway project.

It’s 25 years since the development was first mooted and planning permission has now been granted.

Tralee Chamber Alliance say the greenway will transform the tourism sector for the town and funding must be secured from €53 million earmarked nationally for such projects.

Chamber President Aidan Kelly says Junior Minister with responsibility for Tourism and Kerry Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin has already played a key role in pursuing the delivery of the greenway.

Mr Kelly is urging Minister Griffin to keep up the momentum on the project given that funding allocations for greenways are due to be made in the second quarter of the year.
