Minister grants reprieve to Tralee Town Council.

Tralee Town Council has been given a reprieve in an effort to avoid dissolution. Environment Minister Martin Cullen has granted an extension of eleven days to agree a budget which means councilors must now pass it by January 26th.In a statement issued to Radio Kerry News, Minister Cullen said he takes a serious view of the failure of the council to set a budget. He’s also warning them that failure to adopt their budget will lead to dissolution. Tralee Town Clerk John Breen met department officials earlier today and presented a report outlining the discussions which took place up to last Monday.
