Minister calls on private industry to do more to get communities on board with renewable energy projects

The Minister for Communications, Climate Action and Environment is calling on private industry to do more to get local communities involved in renewable energy projects.

Groups across the country have objected in recent years to proposed wind and solar farms, with many fundraising to take High Court judicial reviews.

Speaking to Radio Kerry, Minister Richard Bruton says private companies developing these facilities need to do more to sell them in a positive light and to get communities on board instead of objecting to them.
