Milltown man to take part in World Transplant Games

A twenty eight year old Milltown man is among the athletes that will travel to Canada in July for the World Transplant Games. The kidney transplant recipient will compete in the cricket ball throw, badminton and tennis competitions. The games are held in celebration of life after transplantation and will run for nine days.The Irish contingent range in age from 18 to 69 and comprises of kidney, liver, heart and pancreas transplant recipients. The last games two years ago saw Team Ireland bring home 22 medals, including 6 gold, ten silver and 6 bronze. Colm Clifford from Milltown says he will be carrying the flag not only for Kerry but Munster.
