Milk producers to protest in Killarney against price cuts

Liquid milk producers will protest in Killarney on Friday over proposed price cuts. The suppliers are unhappy with the cuts which Kerry Co-Op wants them to accept because of market conditions. A picket will be mounted outside The Dawn Dairy plant at the same time as other producers protest in other parts of the country. Two weeks ago farmers refused to sign their forms and handed them back to Kerry Agri Business. They say they’ll lose up to 12 cent per gallon, but Kerry Co Op say the drop is only six cent.
