Meteor reapplies for planning permission for phone mast.

Meteor has reapplied for planning permission for a phone mast in Spa outside Tralee. It`s the second such application by the mobile phone company in the area. The first application was ruled invalid because of a failure to properly display a site notice.Residents in Spa / Churchill have already held a number of meetings to voice their opposition to the proposed mast. They feel it`s too close to houses and schools in the area and could pose a health risk. An action group styling itself Amach says the company has made no attempt to take the views of the local community into account. They are to hold a meeting on the revised application next Monday.
