MEP Kelly welcomes European recommendation for Brexit extension

Downing Street has indicated Boris Johnson will push for a general election after MPs rejected his plan to fast-track Brexit legislation.

It makes the British Prime Minister’s promise to take Britain out of the EU by Halloween difficult to fulfil.

EU leaders are poised to sanction an extension of up to three months.

Meanwhile, three Irish MEPs are welcoming the European Council President’s decision to recommend a Brexit extension.
