Meeting taking place tonight in attempt to secure a post office service for Kilflynn

A meeting is taking place tonight in an attempt to secure a post office service for a North Kerry village.

Following the closure of Kilflynn Post Office in August, local residents, supported by People Before Profit Kerry, have called a public meeting to discuss a challenge to An Post, in order to secure a post service for the village.

Recent rationalisation plans by An Post has led to the closure of 159 post offices around the country, with Kerry one of the rural counties being affected.

The meeting will take place at 8.30 pm in St Columba’s Hall, Kilflynn.
