Meeting in Castleisland on Sliabh Luachra Music Trail project

A meeting is being held in Castleisland about the Sliabh Luachra Music Trail project.

It sees the county councils in Kerry, Limerick and Cork work with communities in celebrating and promoting the region’s unique musical heritage.

It aims to contribute to the preservation of the unique style and repertoire through documentation and the creation of an archive; as well as developing an education programme to stimulate interest in the performance of the music.

People with an interest are being urged to attend a networking session tonight at 7pm in the Riverisland Hotel, Castleisland – those attending are asked to register with Kerry County Council’s arts office in advance – RSVP to [email protected]
