A meeting is being held in Cahersiveen this evening about Gaeltacht Service Town status.

The South West Kerry town has been named as one of a number that can apply to achieve recognition under the Gaeltacht Act 2012.

A meeting is being held this evening at 7 o’clock in the Kerry Coast Hotel to agree a structure for developing Cahersiveen as a Gaeltacht Service Town.

This meeting is open to all cultural and voluntary committees and organisations, the education sector, the business sector, and public bodies based in the greater Cahersiveen area.
