Mayo Minors Ahead By 1 At Half Time

Half time from the All Ireland Minor Football Semi-Final, Kerry 3pts, Mayo 4pts. Mayo got off to an attacking start resulting in their first score from a free. Kerry almost got their first point but it just fell short and Mayo responded with their second point. Kerry clocked up 4 wides at this stage and Mayo looked very dangerous on the counter attacks which were coming down the center of the pitch. 13 minutes gone and Kerry still waited to register their first score of the game. Kerry had a chance of a goal when Jordan Kiely lost his man and passed it to Killian Spillane but the keeper stood his ground and saved it. Kerry needed to settle their game and win possession. Killian Spillane opened Kerry’s scoring on the 19th minute with a point. Mark O’Connor registered Kerry’s second point and they then began to settle. Mayo went back in front from a free courtesy of Gary Boylan. After that, Kerry went on the attack and created a goal chance but it was shortly kicked into a Mayo back’s hand. Killian Spillane put Kerry level with a free after 25 minutes, 3 points a piece. With 3 minutes of injury time to be played, Mayo went back in front with another point. There were plenty attacks from both sides. At half time it ended Mayo 4pts, Kerry 3pts.
