Man who had bench warrants issued for hist arrest before special sitting of Tralee court

A west Limerick man who had several bench warrants issued for his arrest has appeared before a special sitting of Tralee District Court. Tralee Courthouse3 27 year-old Jason Shiels, with an address at 40 Abbeycourt, Rathkeale, was arrested in north Kerry and was discovered to be in breach of a curfew previously imposed by a court. Mr Shiels told the court he was making an attempt to get back to Rathkeale having been socialising in Listowel with friends. Solicitor Pat Mann said his client hadn’t broken the curfew on any other occasion. Judge James O’Connor remanded Mr Shiels in custody with consent to bail of €1,000 and ordered appear again at Limerick District Court on Monday next.
