Man pleads guilty to violent disorder at Tralee graveyard

A man has pleaded guilty to two counts of violent disorder in a Tralee graveyard just over two years ago.

31 year old Wayne McCarthy, of Double Cottage, Lower Kileens, Blarney, Co. Cork appeared before Judge John Hannan at Tralee Circuit Criminal Court.

The charges relate to an incident which allegedly occurred during a funeral at Rath Graveyard, Rathass, Tralee, on November 11th, 2014.

Appearing before the court, the accused entered guilty pleas on two counts of violent disorder; of threatening to use unlawful violence and possession of a slash hook with intent to cause injury or intimidate.

Judge John Hannan adjourned the matter to the July 20th sitting of the circuit court.

The accused is one of four men to appear before the courts in relation to the incident.
