Man killed in farm accident in Currow

A man has been killed in an accident on a farm in east Kerry.

Investigations into the incident are underway.

It’s understood the man fell from a height around half past 11 this morning.

He had been working on a building at a farm yard in Lisheenbawn, Farranfore close to Currow village.

The man in his 30’s was removed from the scene by ambulance to University Hospital Kerry, where he was pronounced dead.

A spokesperson for the Health and Safety Authority says an investigation is underway and an inspector is enroute to the scene.

Gardai also attended the scene and are investigating.
