A man has been charged in relation to the seizure of suspected cocaine worth €14,000 in Tralee.
The drugs-find was made after a car failed to stop at a Garda checkpoint on Pembroke Street in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The man, who is in his 30s, is due to appear in court at a later date.
Gardaí from the Roads Policing Unit attempted to stop the car at a checkpoint shortly before 2am on Sunday morning.
The car drove off at speed from the checkpoint on Pembroke Street.
A pursuit ensued, during which a Garda car was rammed. No Gardaí were injured during the incident.
Two men in their 20s and 30s, and woman also in her 30s were arrested in Tralee town centre.
The car was searched and suspected cocaine worth around €14,000 was found along with drug paraphernalia.
The 3 suspects were brought to Tralee Garda Station and were detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The suspected drugs will now be sent for analysis. The car involved in the incident was also seized.
The man in his 20s and woman in her 30s were released without charge.
The third man has been charged and is due to appear in court.
