Man charged with rape of another man in a Kerry town remanded on bail

A man charged with the rape of another man in a Kerry town has been remanded on bail.

The accused, who’s in his fifties, is facing 32 charges in total, including the sexual assault and the rape of a man.

In Tralee District Court, Judge Marie Keane directed the names of both the accused and alleged victim not be published.

She remanded the accused on continuing bail to reappear in Tralee District Court again in October of this year, when it’s expected the book of evidence will be served.

The Director of Public Prosecutions has stated the case may be forwarded to the Central Criminal Court.
