Man charged in connection with major Limerick drugs haul granted bail at Tralee court

A man has been granted bail after appearing in Tralee District Court in relation to a seizure of drugs valued at over a quarter of a million euro.

Christy Keane of 70 Delmege Park, Moyross, Limerick appeared before Judge Marie Keane in Tralee District Court facing a single charge of possession of drugs for sale or supply.

On Tuesday, Gardaí in Limerick entered Treaty Conservatories and Windows on Davis Street, Limerick and conducted a search of the property.


The Garda Press Office says, following the search, Mr Keane was charged in relation to the seizure of cannabis, controlled drugs, tobacco and cash to the value of approximately €252,000.

The 52-year-old accused was granted bail today, subject to a €5,000 cash lodgement.

Gardaí made no objections to bail, however, Mr Keane has to adhere to a number of conditions, including: sign on three times a week; surrender his passport; and provide an address to gardaí.

Judge Marie Keane remanded the accused on bail until the 21st November, when he’ll appear in Limerick District Court.
