Paralympic Athletic European Championships

Cork’s Noelle Lenihan has won gold for Ireland in the F38 discus at the World Para Athletics European Championships in Berlin.

She set a new world record with a throw of 32.95 metres.

Later, Orla Comerford is in the T13 women’s 200 metres final, Paul Keogan races in the T37 200 metres final and Patrick Monahan lines up in the T53 400 metres final.


Aston Villa and Brentford both have the opportunity to go level on points with SKY Bet Championship leaders Leeds tonight.

The sides meet at Villa Park.

Elsewhere tonight, Blackburn Rovers entertain Reading, Norwich City face Preston North End, Sheffield Wednesday play Millwall, it’s Bolton Wanderers versus Birmingham City and Stoke City to take on Wigan Athletic.


Kyle Lafferty is set to have a medical at Rangers on Wednesday after they agreed a fee with Hearts for the striker.

The deal for Lafferty to return to Ibrox could go through on Wednesday afternoon with personal terms not expected to be a problem.

Lafferty is expected to be available for Rangers’ Europa League first leg play-off tie against FC Ufa on Thursday.
