Lough Leane tree felling investigation to be completed by the weekend

Forestry and wildlife inspectors say their investigations into a tree felling close to Lough Leane in Killarney will be completed by the weekend. Around two hundred trees mostly willow and alder were reported felled earlier this week. The area is protected under EU habitats directives. Both park rangers and the forestry service are conducting investigations. Pat Foley is Deputy Regional Manager of The National Parks and Wildlife service.
