Liverpool Confirm Assistant Manager

Liverpool have confirmed former Republic of Ireland international Sean O’Driscoll as their new assistant manager. Most recently O’Driscoll had been in charge of England’s Under 19s, having previously managed Nottingham Forest and Bristol City. Dutchman Pep Lijnders has made the step up to the new role of first team development coach. Premier League newcomers Watford have announced the signing of Etienne Capoue from Tottenham. The French midfielder failed to make a firm impact at White Hart Lane, but that hasn’t stopped the Hornets from shelling out a club record fee for his services. Here at home, it’s been reported that Damien Duff is on the verge of agreeing a deal with Shamrock Rovers. He could put pen-to-paper on an 18-month contract as soon as this week.
