Livelihood of 400 fishermen in danger of being lost

Up to 400 fishermen in Kerry could loose their livelihood as a result of decommissioning. The Government has set up a 45 million euro scheme which Minister Pat The Cope Gallagher says was necessary to ensure the future of coastal communities in Ireland. The scheme is voluntary and has been welcomed by fishing organisations. Jason Whelly is with the Irish South and West Fishermans Organisation.
