Labour TD calls on Government to speed up renovation of Killarney Courthouse

Renewed pressure is being placed on the Government to speed up the renovation of the Courthouse in Killarney. Over 23 thousand euro of taxpayers money is being spent each year for the provision of a temporary courthouse. Plans for a new facility have yet to be drawn up.In March, it emerged that the Courts Service lost the 1.6 million euro secured three years ago for the renovation and modernisation of the court house because of a delay in clarifying the size of the proposed renovation. South Kerry Labour TD Breda Moynihan Cronin is calling on the Government to address the situation.
