Kingdom Ladies fail to quell Rebellion

Cork Ladies claimed their seventh consecutive Munster U16 C’ship title with a 7-8 to 2-10 win over Kerry last night. The game was played in poor conditions in Nemo Rangers grounds in Douglas and proved to be a difficult night for the Denis Healy trained Kerry side who could not compete against a very slick Cork outfit. The ability of the Leesiders to score goals was the main difference between the sides and Cork continued their dominance of this level of the Ladies game in the province.Despite the defeat, Kerry will take their place in next week’s All Ireland C’ship quarter final draw.
