Puck Fair 2018

King Puck will be crowned at Puck Fair in Killorglin at 6 o’clock this evening.

Eighty thousand are expected to attend the three day festival, which runs until Sunday.

Puck Fair is one of Ireland’s oldest festivals dating back to at least the 17th century.

This evening marks the official coronation of King Puck, a wild mountain goat who will reign over Killorglin for three days.

This year’s Queen of Puck is Ella Foley, a pupil of Glounaguillagh National School.

She’ll carry out this evening’s crowning duties.

Sean Hurley brings this report from Killorglin.

Meanwhile, Bus Eireann wish to advise customers of a temporary change of bus stop in Killorglin affecting routes 279 and 279A due to the Puck Fair Festival.
