Killorglin Rower In Irish Team For European Championships

Qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics is the primary aim for Killorglin rower Monika Dukarska who’s included in the Irish team for the upcoming European Championships in Lucerne.

She’ll be partnered by Aifric Keogh of UCC in the Women’s Double Sculls at the Regatta.

World Championship gold medalist Sanita Puspure will go in the women’s single sculls.

Olympic Silver Medalist Paul O’Donovan will miss the championships because of exams.

His brother Gary will compete in the lightweight men’s single sculls.

In all, Ireland are sending a crew of 10 to Switzerland for the Championships which run from May 31st to June 2nd.

Monika Dukarska says she’d love to win a medal but her main focus is on getting to Tokyo
