Killarney’s Gleneagle Group has won a national accolade at the Irish Tourism Industry Awards.
The hotel group was named Best Innovative Place to Stay for their innovative work in making their hotels and visitor experiences accessible to all.
The Irish Tourism Industry Awards are organised by the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation (ITIC), Fáilte Ireland, and Tourism Ireland, and encourage, recognise and celebrate excellence in the tourism sector.
Gleneagle Group CEO Patrick O’Donoghue says it’s an honour to be recognised for their work in accessible tourism.
The Gleneagle Group had already made history in the hospitality industry in July 2018 by becoming the first business in the world to be accredited by the European Network for Accessible Tourism.
