The Killarney Municipal District collected €830,000 from public parking last year.
Councillor John Joe Culloty asked Kerry County Council for figures relating to public parking at the recent Municipal District meeting.
In response, Kerry County Council says net income after expenditure for 2016 was €830,000, which is an increase of €184,000 on the previous year.
Income from the Fairfield Car Park was €117,000 in 2016, up from €99,000 in 2015.
Kerry County Council says this year’s charge for Birds Amusements is still being finalised.
Costs deducted from total income include staff wages and the maintenance of metres, while fees collected from fines were not included in the figures.
