Killarney Waste Disposal containers investigated by local authorities

Killarney Waste Disposal could face prosecution over the unlicensed export of waste to Belgium and the Netherlands. Two waste containers belonging to Killarney Waste Disposal have been found among an illegal shipment sent back to Ireland after being seized in Holland. The environmental protection agency says it is investigating the shipment and Kerry County Council are assisting the agency with its inquires. 51 containers have been returned to the companies it came from and is being inspected by local authorities. A further 40 to 80 containers are being held in Antwerp. The containers were classified as green suggesting they were full of paper but on inspection were found to have household waste instead.
