Killarney voluntary group rescues stranded elderly couple

The man and woman were stranded in their home in Loo Bridge, one of the areas worst affected in the county by the effects of Storm Desmond. The Killarney Water Rescue Unit, a voluntary group, used a dinghy to reach the stranded pensioners. Meanwhile, the extent of flooding in Manor Village, Tralee was so bad that some people were able to canoe through the waters.
