Killarney man charged with assault is granted bail

51 year old Timothy Riordan has been granted bail at Killorglin District Court. Mr Riordan is charged with assault causing harm following an incident in Milltown on the night of the All Ireland Final. Timothy Riordan with an address at Listry, Faha, Killarney is charged with assault causing harm to Gerard O`Leary at Milltown Village on all Ireland Final night. 38 year old Mr O`Leary died several days later at Cork University Hospital In court today Judge Humphrey Kelleher remanded Timothy Riordan in custody with consent to bail. The bail was set at 10 thousand euro cash and came with 4 conditions. Timothy Riordan is to sign on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Killarney Garda Station, he’s not to apply for a passport and can have no contact with any witnesses involved in the case. The 4th condition prevents Mr Riordan from frequenting any pub in the village of Milltown while on bail. Judge Kelleher ordered that the accused appear before Killorglin District Court again on November 11th and that The Book of Evidence on the case be ready for that date.
