Killarney Councillor describes Killarney as a soft touch for Travellers

A councillor in Killarney is describing the town as a soft touch for Travellers and says Tralee and Listowel need to provide more halting sites. Cllr Donal Grady says Killarney has done its part in providing sites for its Traveller population.Opposition to the continued operation of a temporary transient halting site located just outside Killarney has been voiced by Town Councillors. Cllr Brian O Leary says the Braonans Glen site at Kilneedan Ballyhar is not fit for humans. He also says residents of the area were told it was a temporary measure that was up to four years ago.
