Killarney based Chinese Nationals arrested in Cork

Four Chinese Nationals based in Killarney were arrested in Cork yesterday following a fight that broke out involving knives and machete guns at a shopping centre in the town. The incident occurred at lunchtime at The Merchant`s Quay Shopping Centre. The men from Kerry and Cork met to discuss an outstanding debt.When the row erupted one man produced a machete and attacked another member of the group, while two other men produced knives. One man suffered multiple stab wounds and was removed to Cork University Hospital, another was taken to the south infirmary. Six uninjured men were taken to Corks Bridewell Station and were released without charge. A file will be sent to the DPP. The Irish Independents Ralph Riegel says the incident was violent.
