Killarney and Tralee achieve litter free status

Kerry is the only county in the country with two towns achieving ‘litter-free’ status in the latest Irish business against litter survey. Killarney and Tralee have been ranked 9th and 12th respectively. However Daithi O Connor president of the Tralee Chamber of Commerce says there are areas that still need improvement and regeneration.Yvonne Quinn Chairperson of the Killarney Tidy Towns Committee says the cooperation between the committee and the Town Council plays a vital role in the success achieved. She also says the town’s ranking in the Ibal survey gives a welcome boost before the tidy town`s results in two weeks time.
