Kilarney Gardai investigate further fires in Killarney

A further two suspicious fires have been reported to Gardai in Killarney. It brings the number of fires in the Killarney area to seven within the last two weeks. This morning`s incidents were the latest in a series of suspicious fires in the Killarney area. Two wheelie bins were set alight at about 4 am, one on Main Street and another on High Street. The fire on High Street cracked the front window and caused some paint damage to Paddy Oowers bookmakers.Early on Tuesday morning black disused plastic was set on fire about 3 and half miles from the town. On Saturday night a fire occurred in an upstairs room of a house in Beaufort, the house was unoccupied at the time. Last week three sheds were set on fire at the back of private houses in the town. Two of the fires occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning and the third in broad day light early on Thursday afternoon. Gardai in Killarney are appealing to the public for information on the recent incidents.
