Kiely seeks to be added to FF ticket in Listowel area

A former north Kerry senator is seeking to be added to his party’s list of candidates in the Listowel area for next year’s local elections. fianna fail Tarbert native, Dan Kiely wasn’t selected at the Fianna Fáil convention in Listowel last week but he secured a large vote from party members. The convention chose sitting county councillor, John Brassil and town councillor Jimmy Moloney to contest the May 2014 elections. The party opted for one candidate in the town and one in the rural part of the newly re-drawn seven-seater. Cllr Brassil received 230 votes, ahead of Dan Kiely’s 182 in the contest for the rural nomination. Dan Kiely has not yet contacted party headquarters but believes he should be added to the ticket to increase the party’s chances of success: [audio_player src=””]
