Kerry’s Live Register has fallen 16 per cent in a year.
That’s according to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office.
In August, 7,311 people signed on Kerry’s Live Register.
That is a drop of 16% compared to the same month in 2017 and is a monthly decrease of 368 people.
The Live Register figures in the county have returned to levels last seen in 2007.
All of Kerry’s social welfare offices report monthly drops of between 6 and 124 people.
Tralee now stands at 3,673, Listowel at 1,432, Killarney at 950, Killorglin at 508, Dingle at 312, Caherciveen at 252 and Kenmare at 184.
