Kerry’s first food bank to open in Tralee next week

Kerry’s first St Vincent de Paul Food Bank will open next week in Tralee. St Vincent De Paul Funded by the society along with help from North and East Kerry Development, the bank has already been stocked by Bia Foods of Cork, and will be used to help needy families during Christmas. It’s located in a former meat processing plant at the Island of Geese in Tralee town, and includes a walk-in fridge and dry storage area. The food bank will benefit families in the greater Tralee area initially, but will be rolled out to other parts of the county in the new year.
