Kerryman is attacked by circus elephant

The circus company who own the 26 year old elephant who attacked a Ballyheigue man are alleging that the Kerryman was not authorised to be in the animal`s enclosure. 35 year old Paul Dineen received a large cut to the side of the his body and was operated on in Waterford Regional Hospital. His condition is now described as critical but stable.The management of Circus New York say the African elephant will continue to perform at the circus and poses no threat to the public. Gardai and the health and safety authority are investigating the incident. Beat FM’s Mary O Neil says Paul Dineen was lucky medical personnel were on hand.
