Kerryman graduates as a Commissioned Army Officer

A Kerryman has graduated as a Commissioned Army Officer at the top of his class in the Curragh. John Murphy from Portmagee was the best of 49 cadets who spent the past 21 months training for the army. The 21-year-old was today presented with An Clive Gaiskeeachta by a representative of the Association of Retired Commissioned Officers. The Minister for Defence, Willie O’Dea was in attendance at the graduation ceremony.
