Kerry waste management company wins Green Transport of the Year Award

Kerry waste management company Dillon Waste has been named as the winner of the Green Transport of the Year Award at the 2019 Pakman Awards.

The awards recognise outstanding work in recycling, sustainability and waste management by businesses, organisations, individuals and community groups in Ireland.

Dillon Waste was selected by the judging panel for introducing an innovative new lifting system for waste collection and a range of other fleet upgrades.

These upgrades have increased the company’s transport efficiency by 33% and saved significantly on carbon emissions and man hours, including reducing the company’s carbon footprint by a total of 15,000kg carbon emissions a year.
